The Warhammer collection of games is where it all really started. The different games all have a rich collection of lore and narrative for those players who want a fully immersive experience, and who care about the history of their faction along with what drives their battles in field.
The biggest and most popular of these by far, is the 40,000 (40K), futuristic sci-fi fantasy platform. Now running for over 25 years, the rules and narrative have evolved greatly, and are still being updated.
Within the 40K universe, there are other games to choose from, with many players choosing to command a small striketeam in the short, fast-paced Kill Team, or skirmishing against rival gangs in the Underhive of Necromunda.
The relatively newer Age of Sigmar platform is a classic ancient fantasy battle, with factions and races like Orcs, Dwarfs, Elves, and a huge range of monstrous races like the revolting Maggotkin and the human-like Rat hordes of the Skaven. Old-school weapons and magical abilities abound here!
Our regular club nights are open to all, and are drop-in sessions which do not require booking. They are intended to provide a relaxed, social environment of like-minded gamers to play ad-hoc games, learn new games, and to take part in our Leagues.
We will encourage certain games on different days of the week so that appropriate scenery, figures, and tuition or support is available for them, however, there are no restrictions on what games you can play (as long as mini-figures are involved!)
If you are a current Gold club member, then club nights and leagues are free!
For non-members, it’s free if you just want to chat, spectate, or see what it’s all about, £5 if you decide to play.
Non-members can also sign up for leagues, costs vary depending on what league you join.
